A good question, Willy, who is to blame...? I think noone... evil and hate are just the other side of one coin, we have not yet learned to turn evil into good, to rise above harming each other...
My Buddhist way of thinking... not quite as evolved as they in their theory that evil is just a way of looking at things...
too hard, when one watches people and animals suffer...
Good writing, thanks for sharing! Sydney

Deep, sharp, smart:

- As deep as love
- As sharp as the blade
- As smart as a Creator

Cheers pal!

=  Thanks, Sydney and Edilberto and my special regards to Dan and Romulus!

About poems and comments:

Thank you so much, Sydney and Edilberto.

Sydney: Yes, indeed. It's very important to ask the right questions. I had quite a problem with this one. At first it
was much too square and it did not leave space for the reader's own interpretation. I had to rewrite five or six times!

Edilberto!

I just love it when the comments turn into poetry and I
challenge other writers to join us in that field!

Now: What is this really all about? What started me up here was an exchange of words concerning one of Dan's poems.
The exchange was so enthusiastic that it called out for it's
own comment.
Listen, people, no one leaves this website until we have solved the mystery of God's existence!

All of you out there, have a nice summer day!

God does exist my friend. But to quote Tom Waits, he's "away on business" :)

How can we solve such mystery? Years of thinking couldn't do it. Therefore, we can only barely talk about it.
Have a nice summer you also! I appreciate your intention of reuniting us!

Camelia!

Nice to hear from you! I hope you can forgive my little
joke. It was all in good spirit and humor. But I DO love enthusiastic exchanges on metaphysical subjects and I hope to read more of that among the writers comments. If anyone however, against all odds, should come up with a good solution, please keep me informed.

Your at all times inquisitive
Willy

am so stupid! I didn’t “see” the humoristic tint of your previous comment. I know that you always mean well and you’re very receptive at everything that happens on this site.
Beyond any doubt, God exists! Nevertheless, I am sure that He is much more above everything we are able to say or even imagine.
Yours admiringly,
Camelia

Thanks a lot for your speedy response, Camelia. Is God there? I feel so, and I certainly agree when you write that he/she is elevated far beyond common human consciousness.
I might get back to these questions later in an essay.

...makes a statement that brings on the opportunity for a discussion about morality and (more or less) free choice. Good to hear from you in this context, Dan. Our views regarding theology may differ, but I do appreciate much of your writing and your obvious sensitivity on behalf of mankind.
