Glad to see you here. You kept your promise to post texts in English, and I think this is a good start.
I read your "real story" dedicated to your friend, and I must say that I am impressed by your command of English in this text.
Or is it just another of your impersonations?!
Just kidding...

The other day you mentioned Salinger and "The Catcher in the rye", and I want to let you know that this is a great book; I read with pleasure and I wrote my graduation paper on this theme.
I would be pleased to know your opinion if you have any text ot thoughts on it.
After all we have more than one thing in common: Romanian, English and respect for Salinger's work. So far...

Sincerely,
Elena

Elena dear,
“The real story of P.P.Bridge” was written in the 9th grade(now I have almost one year of high-school) as a joke. I had a friend then, a painter, that had failed an exam in math because he was “too free for radicals”. I am actually fond of writing some stories in English with all kind of strange characters, from dragons to aliens, and so on and so forth.
So…I’m glad you read my story.
Yeah, “The Catcher in the Rye” is one of my favorite books. I read other Salinger books, but I am especially fond of The catcher…although I read somewhere that the character in the book , Holden Caulfield, was inspired by his brother, Seymour, also the main character in “Seymour: an introduction”.

let's do business(=sa ne apucam de treaba) now.

You have a great text for a start.
I would say that "cica" that follows the Latin maxim SIC TRANSIT... you could render in English by "you bet".

Then there are small editing mishaps like in the past line : remember.
If you look again at your text you might like to fix them.

I love your humor which reminds me a lot of Holden's.
You just talk like him in this story.

Another thing, very important for a writer, is to date your work as much as possible, including the dates of your own changes(versions).
Did you know that Salinger completed his masterpiece "The Catcher in the Rye" in ten years?!
It's just a question, not a suggestion or recipe for writers.

By the way are you familiar with Ray Bradbury's prose?

Have a great weekend,
Elena

Elena I'm sorry but I haven't seen you comment. I've been very busy with a horrifying test...So, I'll fix my mistakes as soon as I have the necessary time.
I'm not familiar with Ray Bradbury's prose, but if you tell me a title or anything I'll try to find something...
Lately I've had an American Literature periode and I've discovered some wonderful books...:)
thanks for stopping by and I promise I'll fix the typing mistakes...

Hi Alexandra,
I compiled a list of web links for this author well known to many generations of the past century.
His novels were made into movies and broadcast throughout the world. I guesse you heard of
The Twilight Zone, this was a television series;each episode was an individual fantasy or science fiction
story. Writers for The Twilight Zone included leading science fiction writers such as Ray Bradbury.
The original Twilight Zone ran from 1959 to 1964 , a revival ran on from 1985 to 1988.
The Romanian television broadcast the Twilight Zone in the 80s.
Because my younger sister was a fan of his prose I had the great opportunity back in 1992 to meet Ray Bradbury in person here in California on the occasion of a book signing. The book I sent to my sister in Bucharest as a birthday gift was autographed by Ray Bradbury who knew that his fiction was known to the Romanian public from television.

The most read of his books, also a movie, Fahrenheit 451(1953)
Now the links:

Hope you will like it.
