So okay, you're not far from the real world. It's actually a preview of the real world. You're half an inch away if you'll only put that best foot forward all the time. All those days of analyzing the square of the opposition is over. You've somehow mastered the book about the fundamentals of nursing; the thing is you haven't put it into practice. At this part, of learning duty as a student nurse comes in. Some would consider this the golden age. But hold it right there. Are you well prepared for the thing that will happen and might happen? Have you peeked into the future?
Think. Life is not easy having a duty as a student nurse has. You may call it the golden age, but could you still call it the golden age when the time comes that you realized it's too hard to wake up in the wee hours of the night or waking up early to go to the hospital and perform your duty well? You really have to master "The Art of Sleeping". You don't hold your own time. All depends to your given schedule. There are even times when your body clock has somehow adjusted when another schedule with new time gets into your way. Schedule isn't so flexible. Indeed your patience will be put to a test. A future nurse has a patience of a thousand man combined. Clinical exposure doesn't exist to make your life miserable. The duty times serve as a training ground for nursing students who successfully made it this level of learning. It is also a breeding ground for the worthy nursing students to become licensed nurses. These students are those you can withstand any hardship and confidently face any challenge that come in their way. Knowledge of the real world in the health care field can't be learned from a book. Experience from the real world of nursing is what molds you into who you will be and what you will be.
