Snowing my soul with depressing thoughts
Can narrow my path of understanding
Raining my vision of a future
Can make my senses irational

Sleeping on a pillow of pain
Waking in an alien present
Running from the silent movie of the past
Planting my roots in a suspended garden
All that hurts, but I feel frighteningly real

I just carry my winter cross towards spring..
