Its a long road
that leads between and back again Like a drifting wind or tide that flakes across the boundaries Then reawakens itself upon the cracked horizon Dreams hold here Past memories too Seems as if the world has stood still Awaiting again the moment of you. Here you are a radiant vision that fills my soul revitalized I seek you To reach, grasp you Hoping never again the separated yawn That drifted upon us held us against each other Knowing our depth constrained us to our minds That somehow said No! We know now, we always did That a heart yearns deepest upon the long wake of hours That calls you mine, me yours, We knew it once, feared it walked away.. yet always looking back Upon its frown, turning from its want That need that fills us now as it did then. It never left, laid awaiting acceptance was all awaiting the quite eyes that peer deep back The little tear bud that formed And there bound us as one. Alisdaire O'Caoimph
