My dark friend, you listen quietly
to all my crazy fantasies, so soothingly you breathe and a cocoon you weave around my anxiety- with gentle hands you guide me into a world where I see without eyes, and hear your silent voice- under your coat you hide the malicious kind, and the pure of heart find- refuge. Can you hear the lonely tale of cruelty behind the veil? Sing me your song of peace, so I won't hear the desp'rate pleas for mercy calling, put stardust into my eyes, so I won't see the rain of tears falling- and if those wounds I cannot heal, those cries I cannot seal- then, into forgetting carry me, into a dreamland far away.
