To my daughter:
When you wrapped your arms around a cold, staring moon, kept your gaze in the sun, and your dreams were let go far to soon, When you caught a rainbow and set it free, watched a butterfly composing arial poetry, When your thoughts have reached bottom and also the top, or you have enjoyed, in reflection, an olympian spot, Grasped the tail of an insight but failed to keep sight, When trying and trials become one in a spin, You may have found measure of where I have been, or of what I will do, of the strength of my reach and the span of embrace, the depth of my words and the power in phrase I love you!
