The Sky In a Cage
I take my life too tragically I said to myself I better walk barefooted on the grass to feel my roots close to me again I think the sun has got roots too sometimes we hug secretly in the underground in the night I can hear his voice wailing before being swallowed by darkness I let him inside me and he enters like in a hollow when I go walking I forget myself at home I clean I sweep the clouds I wet the flowers of goodness I keep them locked in a cage I haven`t got a bird for a long time it flew away taking my sky away with it I see no swamp only white waterlilies floating above everything inside me in a silence like the silence of clouds when they look around pointlessly from up there and I walk by I walk and smile like I am taking a picture I want to look happy actually happiness is just a detail on our lips I think then kneel I pray that this smiling picture lasts and then when I will no longer be a living picture shall remain beyond the dead one a thoughtless picture I check for the sky to be in its place then I step dignified on the ground the red cicada inside me started singing
