I stared into the starless sky
but there was nothing left to prove the fall. My eyes were seeking in the shadows a place to rest from toils to be that never were more than delusions of self-righteous sacrifice. I caught a glimpse of what had been; it made me shiver at the thought of my own dimness. And only then I understood that I was blinded by the light of your reflection in the water. I reached my arms to you and thus again in love I fell.
