Ar fi trebuit să fie o femeie luna
Îmbrăcată în hainele cenușii
Ale norilor, sau noaptea
Despuiată și orbitoare

Dar Dumnezeu a pus o sferă
Să lumineze noaptea și a văzut
Că aceasta e bine. Câți adolescenți
Nu și-ar fi părăsit prima iubire?

A fost o seară și-a fost o dimineață
