His eyes were as dark as a summer's night what thoughts they did conceal until his words brought out to light his soul's need to reveal His young mind wise beyond his years his soul old as the sun he knew her sadness, felt her tears his kindness she could not shun Perhaps she'd known him once before in time long since gone by Perhaps they'd walked through heaven's door and soared a dark night's sky
