A piano,
a thousand eyes watching…
magic fingers dancing on the keys,
gracefully,
caressing, creating…
making love to the air
and the most beautiful sound is born…
hands,
busy, faithful servants,
fulfilling every wish
without complaint,
my best friends,
your hands
when they make music on my skin,
traitors,
our hands,
showing time’s ugly face,
tired and abused...
finally still
like broken brushes on
unfinished paintings,
never to create again…
