Tir'd with all these, for restful death I cry:
As, to behold desert a beggar born, And needy nothing trimm'd in jollity, And purest faith unhappily forsworn. And gilded honour shamefully misplac'd And maiden virtue rudely strumpeted, And right perfection wrong fully disgrac'd, And strenght by limping sway disabled, And art made tongue-tied by authority, And folly, doctor-like, controlling skill, And simple truth miscall'd simplicity, And captive good attending captain ill: Tir'd with all these, from these would I be gone, Save that, to die, I leave my love alone. Scârbit de toate, tihna morții chem: Sătul să-l văd cerșind pe omul pur, Nemernicia-n pururi și-n huzur, Credința-marfă, legea sub blestem Onoarea: aur calp, falsificat, Virtutea fecioriei târguită, Desăvârșirea, jalnic umilită, Cel drept de forța șchioapă dezarmat Si arta sub cătușe amuțind; Să văd prostia-doctor la cuminți Și adevărul, semn al slabei minți Iar binele, slujind ca rob la rele. Sătul de toți, de toate mă desprind, Doar că murind, fac rău iubirii mele.
