Frumoasă ești, ce mamă oare
Þi-a dăruit surâsul fin?
Pe două sute de cămile
Te-ar cumpăra un beduin.
Azi nu sunt ocrotit de spaima
Neputincioasă, să te iert,
Dar mâine voi avea prilejul
Să-mi plimb durerea în deșert!
