At least united, they sang from their graves
The henchmen and their victims, rotten soil Their voices rising in a sad turmoil And asking just a question „Oh, why me? Born in a little, almost unknown town I was a little perfect song, a proudish boy With childish freckles, a perfect toy For all my aunts, just pride and joy And then a fine young adult, loved by a girl With nice and healthy features, making me a child Already in Arcadia...dreaming a confort life And then the war came, just in a sudden way It was my duty, as a soldier and a man To go and let me killed to rich the land And then it came, just in a sunny day Brief railway farewell with all their cries With all their sad, unspoken truth And then, together with my comrades Cheered in my extra dissapearing act An escapist from life, and not yet dead I knew my soul was lost, oh, long before A bullet with my name on it transformed me into gore Oh, why me?â€
