The Real World
The day I lost my innocence was the day I started living It’s what they call the REAL world with political longitudes and economic latitudes Where culture is bought and sold in trendy stores And art is only for those who can’t understand it but have the money to buy it Where beauty is measured by magazine covers And intelligence means how much money you can make in a month Where poverty is a dirty word that no one wants to hear And single mothers on welfare are just lazy bitches Where the car you drive defines you And you personality consists of designer clothes and brand-name shoes Where everything has a price even human life And collateral damage just means you killed more civilians than you expected THIS is the real World, The world we live in – THE world… The world can go fuck itself!
