The novel written by Mark Daniel presents two rival bands, both mesmerized by music and both playing marching tunes. They live in Wolverhampton, a small city where the past meets the present in the mirrors of the urban reality revealed by the magic words of the author.
The text is built on multiple axes, very well synchronized, it paints a great palette of heroes, still, the two main characters Kevin and Melissa are coaxed by destiny into a very appealing love story. The British humour, very well-reputed and versatile, the controversial discussions, the rich descriptions of the city, the apparent generation gap, they are all accompanied by music and potentiated by its meaning. Music is everywhere, it chases away rivalry and it reunites the world with every note and every melody.
