The rains constantly fall
seems there's no relinquished moment when the pattering drops cease their flow, The little dirt roads covered in mud Where trucks stick to the grind. The skies are dark to the humid air where we share this paradise of dreams She lies upon the bamboo bed Oblivious to the day. Her long black hair stretches out across the moist, sweat dew filled skin the little fan blows worth its lot And leaves the air musky. I come back here often where the Delta flows rigid and hard the songs of the night charge the place fills me to the haunting abode where once I dressed And laid my world upon her delicate form. It's these memories that fill me, ones that she partakes every role, every dream Not the war, nor the raging, demented screams That the jungle was truly known for. No more her form abides the day nor her dreams ever flood the passions play She lays buried deep in fields unknown dressed bare as first she came Empty her carcass of bones. Alisdaire O'Caoimph
