stranded in a desert
dying with thirst
the man sees afar
waves of water
dying with thirst
the thirsty man
madly runs for it
finds nothing there
but scorching sand
the dying man
remains dying with thirst
the ghost of water
the mirage
vanishes
what's left is
the thirsty dying man
his only asset being
Thirst
unquenched like ego
stumbling against mirages
in the scorching burning
sand of life.
