Japan has always been a resiliant country

In a Land of Orchid petals
And Cherry Blooms
Lotus flowers
And Banzai delicacy

Crowded with tradition
And geisha grace
Crafted simplicity
Of respectful face

Where Divine Wind
Takes on New meaning
To a society
Where sacrifice is an expectation

Memoirs of disaster
Flail in steaming clouds
Written in earthen shifts
Of seismic power

An ocean of destruction
Wills nature's contempt
Of Scientific clumsy arrogance
Instructed as a lesson of ultimate power

Power no society can control
Power no faith can ordain
Power beautiful as it is destructive
Power fueled with our complacent waste

A demonstration of our helplessness
When the end of days marks our calendar
As we flounder as fish
Stranded where we are no longer welcome
