I stoop under the barrier
walking along wire fences guardian dogs bark windows with shut blinds in front or in the back of these houses with no answers if someone shouts no stoned in a hailstorm after a long lasting silence like an anesthetic perfused in the marrow I feel so awake that I shiver up to my finger nails I turn my head over my back to feel the rain in my eyes to put an end to this painless moment tightening my belt on a prolonged siesta hour facing this dead-end street a seesaw sings in my brain crying like a squeaking door opened and shut on and on I am a sensitive corpse lounged on the earth’s anvil
