This year, Dear Santa Claus
I ask from you one single gift And, though I know that many chores You have to do through snowing drift, I hope my letter reaches you And that my pray is not too much So I could find in Christmas shoe The one I love and a big white watch! You might ask me about the second gift, What need I have of such bargain, As time has always been too swift To care of age or face or name, But, Dear Santa, don't you know? I don't want a watch with Mickey Mouse Neither one with golden mistletoe That could bring the ticking in the house. The watch I need is very strange: No numbers to show us the time, No hands to move without a range No tick-tack song when reaching nine! It's white and has a picture of two And time they don't have to fear of, Hey!It' me and...you know who! Living the story of everlasting love! And, Dear Santa, if you are so good To bring him back to me this year, I promise you a gift: a big red hood To keep you warm and draw heat near! I don't want jewels or a big white ball, Neither fancy cloths or any childish toy, His love and care for me and that is all, All that I need this year to bring me joy! So hope I have in me till then And wait with patience I shall, I will be an angel from Heaven And I promise I will treat all well. Cookies and milk under the tree youâll find And a white candle lit with faith, One thing I say and please, don't mind: Oh, Dear Santa, don't be late!!!
