I would prefer you to stop playing the “not understanding”-
for my being simple is not a consequence of being stupid,
but the result of desperately attempting to let you know that pride
is not meant to be worn, for people breath more profoundly when they do it quietly .
Should you ever try to bow- I will be there congratulating.
Should you ever fall- I will be there matching every piece that has remained.
And I want you to know that my falling has never been degrading myself, but floating among this residuary world which we have created for ourselves.
Be there, be in it to learn how to say “Good morning, mom!”
and how to fall asleep in the arms of the one you love.
I just want to carry in me as much freedom and shyness as my soul can provide and I want to give them to you in return when you will finally realize that being simple is only the award of having been practicing suffering and acceptance for an entire life.
