A: I have a confession to make.
B: Why? A: Because is just something I have on my mind. B: And? A: And it kills me inside. B: First tell me more about this feeling. A: The killing inside feeling? B: Yes. A: Well, it’s like... it’s like my soul is heavier and I can’t enjoy anything around me because of this heavy soul I have. Is like I carry all the time this big luggage and I can’t enjoy the landscape because of it. B: That does make sense. A: You think? B: Definitely! A: What do you know about confessions? B: Not much. I know that confessions are things that should be said, should be confessed, right? A: I suppose so. So, can I tell you? B: You could. But you know you wouldn’t make me any favour if you would. A: Pardon? B: Well, when someone is confessing something, the other person, the listener, will have a heavy soul afterwards. A: Why? Is not like that would turn into you doing the bad thing I want to tell you about. B: Not exactly but still A: But still? B: Ok, tell me. A: I don’t want you to have a heavy soul after me telling you, are you sure you want to hear me out? B: Now that you mentioned it, I’m not so sure. But I am your friend and if a friend is in pain you have to do all you can to help him, isn’t it? A: Yes, but I am your good friend and I wouldn’t want my friend to suffer either. B: That’s fair. A: Did you have a good breakfast? B: I had better. A: Really? What was your best breakfast? B: I couldn’t think of the best, but I do remember some really good ones. A: Hm... B: I mean, it’s strange, isn’t it? How you can tell one breakfast from another, but you can’t tell the best from the worst. A: That is strange indeed. B: Can you? A: What? B: Can you tell the best breakfast from the worst? A: If you let me think from a while... Ok, the worst was when I had no money and only some chips and some sugar. I put sugar in hot water and I had it with chips. It wasn’t nice, but I ate it. B: Oh, that was awful. Why did you ever eat that? A: Because I had nothing else. In that day I also had the worst lunch and the worst dinner. B: I’m curious. A: Nothing and nothing. B: Well, that wouldn’t be a lunch and a dinner. That was nothing so you had neither lunch nor dinner. Is like saying white or black are colours. A: That makes sense. B: What about the best? A: That I couldn’t say. Is funny how you can remember the worst moments but you keep forgetting the best ones. B: I remember my best walk. A: Really? B: Yes! It was a long walk and I remember how all my muscles were working for me, turning my walk into the best one. A: Where were you? B: Where was I walking? A: Yes, I bet it was a nice landscape too. B: I don’t remember that. I think it was somewhere in London. A: Oh... B: So, are you going to tell me? A: What? B: The confession. A: Ah, yes, do you want me to? B: Yes. A: I’ve killed somebody. B: Don’t we all?
