Are we just too weak
To follow Principles we set ourselves? Or are we just too strong To care If anyone respects? Life. The right to feel heart beating, To breathe, to love To feel, to grief. Everything we have Chained inside one word. But, I don’t know why – Blood keeps on asking blood; It seems there’s not enough Room on Earth for everyone: Self-destructive species Losing our own heart. Freedom. The right to rise your eyes to sky To let thoughts inside go Bring them to your lips. Dignity is a valor That we are learnt to keep. Free mind, free soul Free human beings; That’s what all of them shout, Their voice is heard just anywhere Incredibly loud. But we’re just caught Beyond the masks we have We don’t even want to throw Don’t want to go away. Happiness. Can it be defined? From kissing a flower To ruling the world; It has so many forms. “The right to happiness†We say, And think we’ve said it all. We’ve opened up a gate Few pass, so many want to But they are still outside, Satisfied with living Asking what’s beyond. So many of our dreams Never been fulfilled. But, as they’re closing it They’re showing us a gate. That’s the trinity We say we love so much Words just slip through lips Never we will touch.
