To be able to seek refuge to your harbour
and to rain on your shores soaking to the skin to be deceived by your eyes sip by sip and to die afterwards but to resist to die to this cursed life hanging down in rags comb myself in your hair you were squirming in me now from there to enter from the Black-sea from your mountains to rise to the sky and run in your fields be “one” wrapping tightly, from your river arms with the Sun in your eyes to go far as your beaches and to be able to seek refuge to your harbour and to rain on your shores soaking to the skin to be deceived by your eyes sip by sip and to die afterwards but to resist to die to this cursed life let us sweep the beauties together fighting continuously before falling down among the corners scrape love into the hearts never drowned by callus hands just offer love then bathe on God’s table stand all the time in lines, in callus hands to offer flowers with the gardeners scar from the gardens of heaven by making God’s jealous with baby love disperse smiles from the faces by cooling the hearts and to cool the spikes from their dryness from their mistakes to be able to cope under compulsion and to be renewed again and again to count as one the Seven Hills and the ever blooming plants like Judas tree, Magnolia, huge Plane tree to find life If it’s been hidden inside the historical geography never give up, hurt, or be offended let us catch-up together the things we have missed and to be able to seek refuge to your harbour/ to rain on your shores soaking to the skin to be deceived by your eyes sip by sip and to die afterwards but to resist to die to this cursed life. Poem by: Attila Elüstün 3/6/2009 Bayrampaşa-İst-Londra Translation by: Günsel Djemal
