Sometimes when it hurts
God is a Scarecrow. Birds peck its eyes It has a faded hat... But so black When the night falls... God has a red scarf knotted around His neck and a waist pinned in shabby sheets On two thin sticks some old woolies hang. God is cold And screams out from his cloth mouth His tears freeze Tears that fall out of an eye drawn by my grandpa I feel pity I am afraid To ask the earth if the tears hurt Today the scarecrow is gone... Someone stole God but grandpa makes another one Another God Another day Other woolies The same tears.
