I remember all those beautiful giants laughing, shouting, calling me names
and the tall grass smelling like cats and dogs, stardust and rain,
the white of her wing, the way she was smiling to dark clouds and wind,
the fear and calm, the bread in her palm,
the staircase she'd risen for the man I'll become...
