1 Some Words
Some words shrill through the air pelting rebelling cheeks with glass syllables Eyes sizzle sinking in heart where demons of the blood fall back in Pandora’s box lighting and rumbling unavenged 2 Other Words Other words pass like heavy trains loaded with clay faces Sentimental sediments in letters against the watery translation of time They stop in heart – the station where everyone wants to get in and forgiveness is repaid with thirty globules of silver blood Only memories get off pulling cases full of sepia tears reddened by expired words 3 Same Words He unburdens me of three syllables at a time when eyes swallow and fingers sip until I become a sandglass emptied of time and his voice fills it up with three sand syllables at a time so we can rewind the erotic poem that tells how I will unburden him of words for the same sensual reasons in my turn Copyright ©2005 Luminita Suse
