My love for you was worth a life
With thunderstorms to weather. I was about to be your wife. Thank God we're not together. We meet the dusk and dawn apart In distant motels, distinct beds, With two, distinctive plots per heart And stories printed in our heads. We go to sleep two times a night But still, we see a common dream Where me and you, in shattered light Still love each other and redeem. We wake up sweated, at a time Then make a shower, drink a tea And take a walk through rain and slime To think again of you and me. And so, we keep this fairy-tale As pure, as angel's feather. A dream can never crash and fail. Thank God we're not together.
