On the moonlight steps,
A desert flower rose;
The sitting beauty,
Such youth and life:
To root the shallow,
Burning heart,
That feeds the balance,
Of any... common man

And yet betraying words,
I wrote... and felt,
In fastidious lies,
To forget;
For every man endures
Just to reduce themselves:
To one... such simple flower.

And yet, every hour;
That flower blossoms
And dies...
Such sweet desert flower,
Whom each of us love
And deny.
