As turkeys are roasting
in cozy ovens around the country
of these American lands
for the hungry people
desiring food and giving thanks,
I am warming my soul
in this cold, yet cozy room
of Lancastarian Quaker beauty
feeding my hungry heart.
Thankful I am
for what it was,
and what it is,
and what it shall be...
for now I know
there is a Divine order
that happens
with and without
our will.
I choose to trust
for only within faith
I find love
and liberation.
