What Christmas really means for me... Author: Corina Gina Papouis
Well, it is that time of the year…Many of us are looking forward to it…some of us can’t wait to see the back of it…I ‘m a bit of both when it comes to Xmas…how about you? I could honestly say that Christmas is starting for me on Christmas Eve: turkey is in the fridge (for its final rest)/ kids in bed/ presents wrapped/ Xmas tree twinkling/ fire is on/ I put my feet up/ take a sip from the mould wine/ and remember I forgot something: like the gluten free Xmas pudding for aunt Evie/ or toilet paper/ or a bottle of Gaviscon…last year I forgot all three…it was interesting! * I find Christmas being very relaxing, so I can stand home, playing more with my daughter, Christmas tree's lights spreading joy within each twinkling, listening that kind of music that digs and buries deeper this wonderful atmosphere. If there are snowflakes cutting the light from the light-bulbs right in front of the window in the evening … then I can say I’m feeling really good. * And I find myself meditating upon the throes and joys of man. How can we possibly turn our focus from nationalism, brutality and greed unto one of cooperation and campassion! The human face reflecting joy is indeed unique. *
